Pretty funny things.

Well. Im a ricer.
I have neon underglow (you cant see the bars and its bright) I have police illegal strobes.

That makes me have so much fun though im glad i have those things. Even if im a ricer, i have fun. Im not a hater. I dont care. Its my ride.

Peace.
No I did not write that. I got it of the internet. I saw it while browsing throught the net one time. There is a link below all that.

To me definition of rice is more of personal opinion. Rice to one may not be to others. Just personal preference.

everybody has great opinions, and thank you mexSir for admitting to being a riceboy,
i like the if it's out of place theory, but attitude does make a difference, sorry if this is the wrong place for it, didn't know where to put it

isn't that more ignorance than rice. atleast they ask rather than putting on a sticker and just assuming. Like I said, 'rice' will always be changing and there is no definition. It just sort of is. I also feel it is a big part of their attitude too though.

See, but then say someones going for the JDM look, if they have EVERYTHING but the RHD, its nice, and yea, its not really 'JDM' not even close really, but I still wouldnt go as far as calling it rice. To each their own I guess, its more of a term used for people we think make/give the import scene a bad image and hurt its reputation. Thats what my definition would be if I had to make one.

Re: A definition of Rice

To me, rice is when you've got something that is just out of place. Examples include an aluminum wing on an otherwise stock Ford Focus (I have seen this). A rear bumper (body kit) with 2 distinct openings for dual exhaust, but has the stock exhaust still. Neon bars that aren't hidden. And attitude does play a huge role in it as well.

Re: A definition of Rice

Well, its not admitting im a riceboy. My car as some of you have seen is very clean, there is only one sticker and i dont have altezzas or all that stuff. I say Im a ricer because of the underglow lights which kinda personifies what a ricer is, fast and furious crap. I spent money on strobes and underneon glow because here in mexico it is legal to have them turned on and believe me its very fun. When im in the highway if i ride the ass of a car and turn on the strobes (very potent) with my headlights turned off, they always think im a police man or an undercover agent and they always move away!...fun stuff. Also with glow beneath the car, i get many people try to race me, something that i didnt have the pleasure of when i didnt have em. As some of you may know, racing is pretty fun. So...even if having those lights makes me a wannabe racer or whatever in the eyes of others i really dont care because i bet i enjoy my car and have more fun than other people that have stock si's.

Also, Im pretty experienced in the world of driving. Im only 18 and a half but ive been driving FULL TIME since i was 15 years old. Ive attended several times "performance driving lessons", Ive been to the track several times and Im a good driver. Good being far better than an average driver. How do I know this? First of all, In the three years Ive driven ive never crashed, never. And I drive back and forth all day, driving around 50-70 miles a day. I drove a 4 by 4 toyota when i was 15 for about 6 months. I usually drive fast and swirve through cars but im not stupid and I know the capabilities of my car and how it handles to situations, ive been in some extreme situations and some of the skills ive aquired through personal experience and lesson has helped me get out of them. Im the kind of driver that changes lane fastly instead of breaking, an agile driver. I know a great deal about cars for a person my age and I behave maturely around other enthusiast, maybe driving a little crazy but never being a hater or saying bad words to others at street lights.

For the things above, I think a person like me should be seen as a better enthusiast than others who pretend to know how to drive fast and crash, who pretend to look cool and be cool, and that dont have blue neon underglow matched to a pimp electron blue pearl paint.

Re: A definition of Rice

whats wrong with making a gsr look like a type r , i mean excluding the stickers ... a type r wing is ok , if you have type r engine parts , body kits are not rice if done right , underbody lights are not rice if they match the color good , its all in how good you make it look , ... if your shit looks like it was all done with autozone parts then hell yea its riced out ... but if you go thru the time and money putting good parts on your car it is by no means riced out !!

I'm skinny, 6 foot tall 135 lbs. I wear big baggy pants and death metal shirts, I have long blonde hair and I drive an import. Now I'm Ricer!!! YAY!!!! I always wanted to be a ricer. NOT! I think someone who doesn't like white people made that list.
In my opinion, a ricer is someone who fixed up there to car a certain way to be cool. And people who think chrome wheels make there honda go faster, yada yada yada, stupid people pretty much.

Yeah, I agree, the sleepers tend to be able to do a little more. They're unfortunately not always quiet though....

Ok..after thinking about this and bringing it up to a few friends I have come to the conclusion that "rice" can only be described as a state of mind. The guys who want to have fast cars like the ones on the fast and the furious and on all the fast cars that they see but dont dont take the time to find out the difference between a BOV and a wastegate they only know what they can see on f&f which are underbody neons, bodykits, huge wings, and vinyls. They see this on f&f and on the streets and try to imitate it and when they see you on the highway they jus wanna be like all the racers they see. So fact of the matter is that your not a ricer if you know your shit.
