DUDE just goto autozone. they checked mine for free and gave me the codes. I had a EGR malfuntion and a Fuel Flow problem.lol I have to take it back to the shop tomorrow to get it cheacked out.

does autozone really do it for free i live in new york and do they do them for obd1?

I have a 98 Eclipse RS and the CEL just came on but have no mods done except fart-kan... I have tried to do the key thing for Code retrieval but as you guys stated "It does not work" - on the 98... so, what am I suppose to do? I have the DLC by the fuse panel (it is white in color) but it does not have the ground wire like in diagrams. Is there anyway to jump these computers for CEL codes that is fool proof?

I am thinking it is an O2 Problem anyhow, because it just came on during a week of rain.

If anyone should know please inform me. Thanks

Goto a local autozone and they will check it for free

The last time I went the could not read it, the reader kept coming up with Linking Error
