i know it's the ghetto way to activate Vtec, but i'm only doing it till i get the VAFC, which is in 2 weeks.

It's not that that its bad for the motor. It's perfectly fine. All you are doing is driving on the bigger cam lobe. It's not like nitrous where it wears your motor out faster.
