Here's a tiny update, nothing major, i've opened up the front grille, i'll most likely add some mesh, that is, if i can find any

Re: In Progress: Hasegawa AE101 Levin

it'd take more cutting than just the grille for an intercooler :-p

Re: Re: In Progress: Hasegawa AE101 Levin

Did you mean the grille below the hood? If so sorry, thought you meant the vent like thing in the bumper. That is if they have one? Never built this car but it's comin along cool.

Re: In Progress: Hasegawa AE101 Levin

Yeah, it has that aswell, it's not yet attached though, it's a separate piece.
I was referring to the front grille, between the headlights

Re: In Progress: Hasegawa AE101 Levin

It's overall not a bad idea, yet i don't have pieces like that to work with.

Thing is, something seriously needs to be done about these tiny things

Re: Re: In Progress: Hasegawa AE101 Levin

you can scratch build an intercooler, this car is curbside correct? Just make one from .030 thick styrene plain card, and .030 thich styrene v-groove card. I've made a few, quite easy to make. Evergreen makes the best styrene imo, and is cheaper than tamiya.

I've found quite a few inspiration pictures of the [email protected], apparently this is the site of a massive AE101 club from Hong Kong.
