I'd go for the '72 . I love the newer GT-Rs, but I prefer old school. Plus, the body kit on that R33 is hideous .

Re: Old School Vs. New School (bandwidth warning)

Not a Nissan follower myself but: with similar sets of parameters, I'd get an RX-3 or RX-5 over the RX-8

I'd take the RX-2 or the Cosmo Sport over any of those, though if we were talking piston powered matsudas, an R360 coupe would make a fun run about, and the K360 pickup is one of the most awesome Japanese pickup trucks ever made.

as much as i love the full brutal power of the RB26DETT (no doubt in tuned form in that R33), there is no way on earth that i could EVER turn down a 1972 KPGC10 Hakosuka Skyline 2000GT-R if i was offered one. i've been in love with the things since the day i first saw one, and it is my life's quest to own one at some point in my life. no R33 could change that.

I like Skylines when they are completely stock, so i'd go for the old one.

You read SuperStreet too much.

I'd take the old-school Skyline. The vintage Skyline is in a museam (SP?), the new skyline is on the streets...makes you kinda wonder doesn't?

The vintage Skyline has my respect.

Actually, integra818, both of these cars are for sale, and I CAN buy either one for just about 30K usd. I wanted to make this as real a question as possible, so I didn't use museum cars. I used a veilside being sold by a private seller and a Hokosuka being sold by a dealer.

Re: Re: Old School Vs. New School (bandwidth warning)

I like the oldskool Hakosuka
Vielside to me make foul bodykits they've been copied to death by retard US crap-body fabricators whose stuff won't fit properly. Though i respect the work that Vielside have done with cars i do feel that their show cars are nothing to be desired however their tuned cars are abosutely amazing in potential.

The R33's price will drop as time passes by. The Vintage Skyline's price will rise.
