JDM ones are also just as usless, they are not DOT approved as they do not have reflectors built in as the USDM ones do.
Same with a lot of Altezzas, even though they have red in the taillight doesn't make them legal. Make sure they're DOT approved.

yah....it should be engraved into the bottom of the taillight "SAE DOT approved" and also have the DOT number after that.
Aren't the TRUE JDM taillights the all red ones? Maybe i'm confused hear.

In a sense, but not nessicarily. 91 USDM and JDM Civics came with all red tails.. Previous years had red with the amber signal light.

The difference between JDM and USDM is:
1) JDM doesn't have reflectors built in like USDM
2) On the JDM taillights the signal light wraps all the way around the corner of the light covering the whole corner and side, on the USDM tails on the sides of them the signal is divided off so there can be a sidemarker there in place.
