Re: Mustang versus STi... Winner Mustang

What were the full specs on the STI.
Was it a current generation?

This doesn't even belong in this forum but anyway....

I can not honestly answer that questions as I did not ask him about his car and I do not have much experience with the STi.

So which forum should I put this in...

Street racing or something.

If the guy has a 2004 STI and modded it with NOS, he deserved to lose.

You are a funny guy... I know of atleast two STi that run N20 and race at Moroso and Orlando.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Mustang versus STi... Winner Mustang

I always find people who bicker about who won a race simply stupid. Either one of those cars could be modified to beat the other one hands-down. Stop being so proud that your relatively heavily modified Mustang beat a mostly stock STi, and he should stop talking shit on your car (though he won't, I know). It's just stupid. It's not a race over who can drive better, over who has more tuning skills or over who has made a better decision on their car. Racing in a straight line is merely a race to see who spent more money on their car.

Hooray. You beat him because you spent more money. If he'd spent more money than you, he would've beat you too.

You want a cookie or a parade?

this was not supposed to be offensive directly towards you, but towards shit like this in general

Hehe, I would love to know what kind of supercharger you have on your car, I'm not talking about brand either. I’m talking about type. It is not far fetched for your heavily modified Mustang to beat an STi with N2O as being the only mod, and we don't know what shot he was using anyhow. I will tell you that his car would destroy yours on the track.

Are you talking about a straight line quarter mile or a race around a track... My car suspension has been fully worked by Steeda and it will pull about 1g on the track, Not sure what my top speed is but I have had it above 140 with plenty of pedal left...

The supercharger is the Centrifical type with 9si of boost and an intercooler. I am about to change it to 14 psi so I can get into the 10's...

Re: Mustang versus STi... Winner Mustang

how long do you think your bottom end is going to hold up at 14lbs. of boost?
not very... have fun with that...

i'm not sure where you get off calling an sti a ricer... but that's your deal...

just for fun, take a look at the latest popular hot rodding (i think that's the one that did it). they compared a stock sti and a stock svt cobra. the sti was quicker by a tiny amount, and they picked the sti over the cobra.

a hot rod mag chose a jdm "rice rocket" for the better car... hmm...

Man whats with all the Mustang haters on here? And before you guys say your not just read your posts. I say good kill and nice job shuting that kid up. And I have to disagree with you polygon on the track thing. The way he is now maybe but if he tunes his car for handling then I think he could take the STI IMO. RWD > AWD every where (cept snow/mud). Mustangs can be made to handle to very well as im sure you know. So track it would be close again.

Although 1Quick91 I have to ask the same thing as polygon whats with the long Supercharger lag? I say this because the way you make it sound is like you take him from the start, he come back with N2O and passes you, THEN your charger kicks in? sounds like really long lag time.

fly I dont think he was calling the STI a Ricer just the driver. Come on though you buy a STI and the first thing you do is N2O.
