quickest way to lower the sti is as i did it, file off the mounting lugs on the suspension arms (where the disc mounts), then add a 2mm diameter spacer into the slot where the rod fits.
cut away any plastic thats in the way of the axel.
re fit discs and glue, lowered and only takes a few mins, easy

Re: subaru wrx runner

Yes but i prefer the hard way. For the front susp. i'm going to build complete new triangles instead of the stock arm ! I must be mad...

Re: subaru wrx runner

Just a little-little update: body painted and polished. Pics are photoshoped to show how it'll look with CF-decals on hood and trunk.

Here you can see the air diffusor under the rear spoiler.

I decided to make the seat red, but I can't motivate myself to do the harness

Re: subaru wrx runner

I finally see the end of the tunnel !
The body is finished with CF decals on the hood, trunk, and diffusor ( it took me hours to do it ). Everything have been clear coated and waxed then to protect it.

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

I had a bad surprise when fited the body and the interior on the chassi : i didn't take the tickness of the windows when building the roll cage, and now i have to file it at the 4 upper angles

[IMG][/IMG]

I still have to make the harness to complete the interior , then the chassi and maybe a wing and it will be finished at last.
By the way if you have an idea for the rims colour, because i'm not convinced by the alu look, maybe gold or anthracite.

Looking good, go with some.... dark gunmetal or anthracite wheels! I like the rear diffusor and carbon details coming out nicely!

Re: subaru wrx runner

Tanks but to be honest there are some mitakes on the hood ( why did i puttied the air intake ?).
I think of dark wheels too, i will do a little photoshop to test it ( a good way to see what the mods will look though !).

Re: subaru wrx runner

It looks good. Mabye some black rims will go nicely with the red of the car, or there is always gunmetal.

Re: subaru wrx runner

Ok, here are the last pics before completion.

[IMG][/IMG]

Finally i went with gunmetal wheels, and added the tire valves.

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

All i have to do is to add the harness and make the exhaust piping.

I hope you'll tell me what you think, i take a break in modeling until new year.

So merry christmas and happy new year everybody

Re: subaru wrx runner

I think when you saw the underbody blue it wasn't painted yet, but now it's done, it's the same color as the body.
