Was is accompanied by a sort of teeth-chatter? If so, I know what you mean. That's a particular bite cats are instinctually programmed with. They use it to break the bird's neck. I've only seen my cat do it once, at a large flying bug...

Yep... that'd be the sound. She's never even come close to lunging at the birds, but we catch her doing it at least a couple of times a week. Very funny to watch!

Yep, quite funny to watch. Mine does that quite often. I'm telling you, she has some wild cat blood in her!

Also she has diarhea. So now we're treating her - the vet suggested we give her no food for 24 hrs and force feed her cammemillle tea 10 ml ev. 2 hrs. My heart is bleeding - she purrs and meows and looks so hungry Sigh.

Also she, annoyingly, steps into her own sh1t! So we have to wash her hind paws every time. I'd like to hope that she'll learn to sit properly and not to step in it. Quite discouraging.

Any more advice here, guys/girls? Thanks in advance.

Alex

P.S. Her name is Dora And she's a "street ninja" colour - grey with black stripes.
That sounds a lot like my kitty. We just got her around a month ago, and she is right about 4 mo's old now. At first she had the squirts a little bit - we actually didn't do anything and it cleared up in a day or two by itself.

I would advise you to watch her around window screens - we have to keep the windows closed now because Kitty will see a bug or something and go running up the screen. Not good.

Our cat is actually very rowdy, which is why I chose her. At the pet store, if I opened the cage she'd take a running leap out and run up my husband's shirt. Also, she doesn't shed, and that was a big selling point. She loves play-fighting and has torn up my right arm from wrestling with it. She's very affectionate and likes to sleep with us - she'll curl up on someone's back or armpit and couldn't be happier. The bad part is when I try to sleep in, like today (at work until 3 a.m.) and Kitty woke me up at 9:30, chewing on my toes and ears and licking my eyelids.

But anyway, ours stepped in her poo a time or two at first but seems to have gotten out of it for the most part.

Don't think you need to buy toys, either. Kitty's favorite toy is a stuffed monkey my husband gave me, that she stole off my desk while I was at work. I came home and the fur was all matted and part of the mouth was gone. She kicks the monkey's arse several times daily now.

Your cat might not do this, but we can't leave any drawers open at our house. The cat will immediately climb in the drawer, hop over the back and get stuck in the back of the desk. First time she did this she was stuck in the computer desk for about 6 hours while we were at work.

Anyway, good luck with your cat. I think they're a lot of fun. My husband hated cats, until we got one. He loves them now. If only I can convince him to let me get another....

Our kitten is mad, we'll just be going along on our daily business, then we'll hear this growl, squeak, big meow and the sound of him tearing down the hallway.

But he's so cute, and affectionate, and vocal! Geez you could almost have a conversation with the little guy, his little squeaks and grunts and growls are just too neat.

He does the chattering thing when he sees birds outside as well, he also seems to lose control of his tail, he'll just swing it around madly and nothing stands a chance if it's in it's way.

Lookin for a picture as I speak...

Hehe, my sister's cat is pretty vocal too, my mom always talks to him. He always announces his presence in a room, yells at us when we wake him up, yells when he walks in the door from outside etc...he's completely nuts, he'll lie on his back like a dog so you can scratch his belly

Dayna told me about kombat kitty...the cat was not impressed (and I don't think Dayna was with me trying it )

No way! Kombat kitty is totally awesome... I wasnt mad at you, I just got kicked off the computer...

To all of you who dont know what it is...

Take a strip of tape as long as the cat, and place it from their head to their ass and watch the fun begin.

What, will skunks run up and try to court them?

I don't have any pictures of my sisters kitten (not really a kitty anymore, 1 year old), but I think I have some of my older 13 year old cat.

I will post them as soon as I can upload them.

OMG!!!!!!! I was gonna kill it quick, look at all the evil stuff Dayna's suggesting!!!! First she'll scare it, then she'll scold it until it feels bad and sulks, then she'll yell at it, and get it mad, and then, omg, she's going to PUNCH IT!!!!! And smile about it, then she'll give it a gladatorial style "death" acknowledgement, which will be done with her war face and then beating it half to death with a chair only to cruelly end it by kicking the kitty to death!!!!
