I wouldn't carry that theme into the interior also.
don't do ricey interior, make it very specific and functional, do maybe dark dark grey interior with red racing seats. don't do like pink and white leather or something

but I do like the pink color on the outside should look nice but make sure the car is mean and man enough to back it up.

but that really wouldnt look so good, i mean black or grey interior and pink exterior with white rims? i want bright colors and skylines are pretty much rice cars dont you think? And last but not least i dont want to be like others this is going to be a "UNIQUE" skyline not another on with a dark color interior.

PS: I really like that NSX you made, did you do the custom body work?

wow. I really hope your kidding.

have you ever seen the yashio cars like mentioned before?

I really think you need to do what you like, if you want it to be loud and flamboyant like a show car, thats one thing but skylines are usually built as full-on race cars, be it for the street or the track.

why don't you give me an idea of what your thinking for the interior so far to help us get a better idea what your looking to do.

thanks for the compliment on my NSX, its a raybrig NSX from tamiya not modified really, the rims are tamiya rims from another kit. it was built as a street/track example.

well on the interior i was planning on using pink/white as a color scheme like white side panels with pink detail and the dashboard the same way as for the carpeting, pink flocking or i remembered somebody saying using baking soda and then painting over it, so that would have been my alternative method if i couldn't get my hands on some flocking. as for the seats i was thinking painting the inner part(so if im misexplaining just tell me) pink and the outer part white with pink seat belts.

SORRY IF I MISEXPLAINED ANYTHING JUST TELL ME AND I WILL FIX IT OR SOMETHING

you explain just fine, its just that we both have very different taste. I don't know about the baking soda method so I cannot verify that, but I am interested to find out if that works because the idea sounds pretty cool! if you wanna do pink and white interior go for it, I think it should be something more hardened inside, more racey. take a look at the yashio factory silvias, its all in japanese so what you need to do is copy/click my link then from there, click the 3rd link on the left of the homepage, then click the top pink car (okachan super S15) and scroll through the pics for interior shots. just my opinion. hope that helps you!

i can really care less if anybody does a pink car, actually it would probably be cool, i mean think about it "Pink Cars Meet",

and has anybody noticed but Tamiya's Pink is really really light and isnt as bright as i expected. i think i might have to buy some automotive paint for this one.

spray a gloss red coat then spray a pink coat over top, it will deepen the pink, if your going to get more paint and airbrush, just throw a little red in with the pink you already have eh?

thats a good idea, but i dont have an airbrush yet so i'll have to do the red gloss method. And a friend told me use a real dark primer instead of white which i normally use and it would make it a darker shade of PINK

it will, but it will make the pink look a bit dingy, your better off with the red underneath for a better effect. I do this a lot, like when I painted that blue silvia. my top coat was a blue pearl color that was going to be too light for my taste. I wanted to deepen it up to a darker blue pearl. so I sprayed like 4 coats of dark blue underneath, then just shot one coat of the blue pearl paint over top, and it came out pretty cool IMO.

I dont have Tamiya Gloss Red, but i do have Testors 1203 Red, its not gloss but will it do? and will it make any difference that its Testors and an Enamel and the top coat is Tamiya and an Acrylic?

And that Silvia came out real nice, what brand is that?Tamiya?

well, I usually stick with one kind of paint to avoid potential problems. I used testors for the dark blue, then boyds for the pearl coat. but they were both enamels. Im not sure about that one, so I'll leave that for you to search or someone else to answer.

thanks, the silvia is a ALEX S15 by fujimi. swapped a skyline engine into it. since the search function SUCKS I cannot find the thread for you right now. I want my old automotive forums back!!!

Ive tried using baking soda for flocking... i think it looks REALLY good... but the baking soda definetely gets messy, and you waste a lot of it... i definetely reccomend doing it outside. The baking soda particles are really fine so it looks a lot more realistic then the other flocking material that you can buy. definetely go ahead and use baking soda, all you have to do is use normal elmers white glue, and just sprinkle it on, and shake it off later. give it a try youll definetely like it... good luck, your project sounds very interesting.
