Building of pgc-10 Skyline 2000 GT-R (fujimi).

Good day everyone, i'm building this fujimi kit right now:

it's pretty old and i have some problems with logos...

right now i need a good decal scan of this red and white GT logo, based after "skyline":

I now that Tamiya have this in decals, and also some others have photo etched GT logo base, its scan will be useful too. WIP photos later. Thanks for attention.

Re: Building of pgc-10 Skyline 2000 GT-R , need some help.

I've done a lot of things so far, but i stuck with the logo.... i really need it...

the kit is pretty old and to be honest - of a bad quality... it was made for battery, as the result - the chassis is very simple... even no brakes.
I will add brakes, modify some parts as shown below, add PE virers and belts. I've already done first coat of base color. But i need this god damn logo scan (((

drilled hood:

The color i plan:

I don't think you're going to get one, at least not from the Tamiya kit. You're hoping to print your own decals from the scan?

The decals in the Tamiya kit are tiny, about 2mm. It is only printed in two colors (red and white), and it's very difficult to see even on the decal sheet. I think a scan of it would be useless. If you want to make your own decals for that logo, draw it yourself in photoshop- you'll get better results. Or simply order a set of the Tamiya decals.

But don't let a detail like that slow/stop your build.

yeah, i hoped to make my own decal from the scan. Maybe i'll follow your advice to make this one in photoshop.
that's an importrant detail, i think. i can't make a good coat of clear, before i will solve the problem with logo....

Did some paintjob on the "skyline" logo. Not exactly what i want, but fo this kind of relief it's probably the best solution.... should look much better under clear.

Made good coar of clear. waiting for polish:

Looking good, i need to start doing that to my mirrors, as it gives them more strength in the end and also positions them perfectly. You should try the old tamiya skyline, great kit.
