header is where the exhaust gases exit through...
yeah....you'd see maybe 2-4 hp increase with that header over a stock header.....
but the header from the D16(civic motor) will not bolt up to the B18C1 or B16....so you'd have to buy one...

any b-series header will work
stock tires will be fine.... probably 14 inches....i'd look for some 15 inchers......
and yeah...i have no idea about the brakes....
94-95 gsr is obd1
96+ is obd2

97gsr pretty much covered it all. As far as what engine in what Civic, it goes like this. The engine has to be of the same year or newer for legal purposes and does'nt matter if it's a Teg or Civic motor. Yes, not having to mess with OBD conversions saves alot of hassels so if you get the right engine, by legal standards, there should be no conversion needed. Since you're a n00b at this I will assume that you want to do this as cost effective as possible so forget about most of the brand names 97gsr posted seeing as they are some of the best parts out there. There are cheaper parts performance parts. As long as you get the car and the engine, high priced, high quality parts can wait.

There are guys that like the JDM performance but not the loud noise or look of most Honda's today. I know a guy that has a JDM ITR motor and everything on the car is OEM JDM except for the fact that it's not RHD. He modified the OEM exhaust flange to mat up to a JDM ITR cat. This does not damage the motor but simply restrict flow and hp.

There are three round seals w/ numbers on them on the head just above the exhaust manifold. The first seal has the last two numbers of the year of production. I'll try and find a pic I posted a while back.
