Question newbie needs help

hi again,
I just got a new Sentra. Well it's a 98 but I'm not all that good with cars. I know nothing at the moment but I'm trying to learn. Where's a good place to start improving the performance of mine? It's a GXE I think I'm not sure which of the two engines in the manuel was in it I'll have to check. It's FWD is that good or bad? I am not learned about cars atm where should I go to find out stuff? Are there webpages or books? Just started getting interested one day and I'm like ... I know practically nothing so I need to find somewhere or way to learn lol. Thanks,
Peace,

ga16de 98 gxe 115 hp 108 torque..fwd..

HOOKUPS...
nissan is very good from platform to platform about being able to interchange parts from there top lines to thier lower lines.. this means that most things as far as supsension, styling, and other items are cross platfromed with the B14 SE-R(im not sure how accurately that is said)

for the engine its self.. check out www.sentra.net this is the ultimate ga16 /qg 18 site.. pay close attention and you can learn alot..
