Cool! Thanks guys...the snorkel is off.

If the DPFI and MPFI air intakes are different, I'll probably wait on that...I was hoping to do a conversion later.

I've got that same problem of my cold air intake rubbing on my strut bar. I tied an old sock around the cold air intake. I'll retie the sock about once or twice a year, when a spot gets rubbed in it.
I had a spot where the hood was rubbing the intake. I just wacked the intake with a rubber mallet and 'adjusted' it slightly.
Works fine.

PS-That snorkel was put on there by extremely conservative Honda engineers who never, ever wanted an engine to die from sucked-up water. Water level's gotta be almost over the hood before water will make it down that snorkel.
PPS-MPFI will make more difference than any other mod. Go for it!

On my 91 LX, the snorkel is mounted on the plastic top of the radiator at two points. Well at some point my radiator cracked at the base of one of the mounting points on the plastic top of the radiator, and caused a leak. When I went to get it repaired, the new OEM radiator came without the mounting points for the snorkel, the reason being if any weight is put on the snorkel at all, it can cause cracking like that which occurred on mine, so it is actually beneficial to take out the snorkel, if anything to prevent some idiot from pushing on it and cracking your radiator. Not sure who cracked mine, but it was for damn sure not me.

I don't think i'll be driving through any rivers soon.

Great find on the air intake, Stali, that's really cheap. I think i'm going to do a Short Ram though, just do I don't have to worry about water.

Oh yeah - on the MPFI swap, will I need a new throttle cable and ECU?
