Hi folks,

sorry, me again with a last update.

Uuufffff............just finished another 5 hours working at the Stratos and taking new pictures.
After reading all your kind replys, comments and hints (by giving me perfect pictural feedback) i couldn't resist and rework the Stratos in case of the missing chains at the back and the missing colour at the sun-blind covering the "back window". Hope you like the pictures.

And Sascha, yes, i think you're right. Don't know why but the big scale demands a even more realistic weathering because the finish is even more visible. Logisch! The smaller scales "are forgiving" more..........so to say.

thanks a lot! In a hurry............you're absolutely right!!!!!!!
After i finished my job today i ran around like no one else to get that. I finaly found them in a "alternative jewelery" so to say. You can buy all kind of stuff to build your own ornaments. I payed 1,- Euro for 10cm. That was the deal. Then hurrying home and........

Sincerely, and I'm honored to know we may have contributed to it if we did, but the changes worse the hurry and additional time !!
The chains are the kind of subtle details than give an historical accuracy and, with the absolutely great weathering I rediscover with your new pics (btw themselves fabulous!), make the car really look perfect not to say real.
Congratulations.
If the model wasn't so rare and expensive, I could be tempted to hunt one to become my first 1/12 !

Dear Jochen,

I had the time to look at your pics pixel by pixel. Also on your HP. It´s fabulous. Where you´ll present the Stratos and your other stuff on the desk of a modelling show? I would like to see them by my own eyes! :-)

You would be a great candidate for the show "On the Road" in Jabbeke/Belgium in March! ;-)

amazing job, but while I'm an absolutely wheathering noob (and I'm jealous of your skill ) I think a little more dust will be better, especially because of the mud splash you put

by the way, a "must to" is to get dirty the tires tread, it's absolutely too clean for all that mud on the wheels and on the car

WOW what a great build I love the weathering, you have got it perfect. I have this kit at home and plan to start it sometime, having heard about the decals, I have got some Zero paint done for them, just the thought of masking it all out to spray has stopped me getting started. Seeing this build has got my motivated to dig it out. It has got to be one of the best looking rally cars.
