Ya know Mr. Man its possible to manually shift the automatic for more power... It is possible, she got the better launch... possibly powerbraked it...
for all practical purposes, manually shifting both trucks or powerbraking on street tires on the street won't get you very far...

i'm not saying she can't drive, but on the street, the easiest way to drive either truck is with your foot on the floor from green, and both hands on the wheel...

yep, you know it... girls can't drive...

You sure? powerbraking seems to work better for me then just flooring it. Maybe I should experiment with that somewhere.

in most cases, depending on what you'e driving, it's not much of an advantage, depending the factory stall convertor...

i don't think it would make a hugely noticeable difference on the street, but different on the track, yeah...

my point is that for all practical purposes, if you launched both the same way, or similarly, they'd do about the same... off the line...

i'm rambling...

Well of course they would...But that's the point of being a better driver. You do something the other driver doesn't to get ahead. And powerbreaking in my friend's stock geared and converted 99 LS1 makes a huge difference off the line as compared to when he doesn't. Same thing in another buddy's Prelude. And this is on the street of course.

There is actually a sweet spot in alot of cars for brake boosting off the line. The trick is to time it just right, so you aren't just holding the brake and the gas at the same time, but instead time it just right as the engine revs it will peak slightly higher then where it will come to a rest, try and time it so you can drop at the peak, be carefull of wheel spin.

Are you sure it was a supercharged F-150? There is not many ways to tell from the outside if its the supercharged or the older N/A version. My friend recently bought a Harley davidson supercharged edition and it feels fairly fast considering the weight of the thing.

Well, as far as I know all the HD editions are S/C'd... and she said she raced two HD F150s... so its a fairly good bet they were S/C'd...

F-150 Vs. Harley Edition

Ooooooh boy did I miss alot !!!
Okay to start off.....GIRLS CAN DRIVE ,obviously, if I'm hardly ever beaten !! hehehe
And second...no powerbraking involved in these races though I would have to agree it makes a difference.
Ummm...third....my next mod will be a Diablo chip next weekend and I'm checking out some pulleys. Not ready for the nos yet, I could buy it whenever but I can honestly say I'm not ready for that kind of power...lol.
And 18's are in the near future but I have found the perfect jaw-dropping ones I'm looking for.
And finally......Nothing personal with the quote "Silly boys, Trucks are for girls"......its just something I like to say....I'm one of the only chicks with a fast truck down here....ALOT of the guys are in the cars.
ok, ok, I think thats it

understandable that you're a girl in a fast truck...

come up here to cleveland...

lots of fast trucks, driven by guys...

my truck included...

that's what happens when you work in the aftermarket...

bags, big rims, fast trucks... that's my job...

and if you're looking at an ecu upgrade, a power programmer is a better way to go, as compared to a chip...
if you're interested in that kinda stuff, drop me a pm...
