the Holden Monaro is pretty much the sister car to the Pontiac GTO..

. but now i know what a monaro is... i hope i spelled it right

. and yeah lol i was kinda worried about gettin banned there. and u know we were talkin about the displacement diff earlier, i just kinda feel like sayin this, but me being a ford guy, hence the name, one of my biggest dissapointments with ford is that they dont have a big displacement engine like the ls2, unless u look at the 605hp v10 that they havent put into a production car yet...

I prefer buying a car that has alot of cubes but isn't up to its full potential. Much easier to squeeze power out of. Although The Cobra is a bad ass car right from the factory and with a pulley change and some slicks it will eat up most heavy modded cars out there. Each side has there bonus's. I just hope GM makes the new Camaro like the concept. The we will have a real pony car war again. The GTO and Mustang's right now are really in a class of there own.

GM is doing nothing wrong.

The GTO is NOT meant to compete with the Mustang. Flat out. IT is meant to compete with BMW more than anything. Luxury and power.

4.6 is DOHC, LSx is pushrod. Once again, no comparison.
Argue all you want, there will never be a clear winner. Both motors are incredible at what they do. The only thing that matters to me is total power output of a performance car. I do NOT consider the GTO to be a performance car, but I do consider it a 'Gentleman's Express.'

That said....I REALLY want to find a 2005 Mustang GT on the road....

It's funny, when I pulled and picked apart the ChvAuissGTO in another post you acted the fool tward me, your not John Kerry are you?

This car is not a Pontiac GTO, it's even a little far to call it a GTO, it's a car that would be bought by a well to do person that wants to live some sort of second youth and does not like or all ready has a vette and loves the look of late mustangs.

Read "GTO engine Problem" post or no 06 GTO or just look deeper into this "want to be car"!

luos, I lost the post about the 2 seat Pontaic.

I think the car is great looking, I think it could have more power, well I think everything needs more power.

The car will suffer only because of (what I think will be) priceing for middle money making familys it will be on the edge, it's going to be high, I'm sure it's going to be cheaper then BMWs 2 seater, and BMW should see a sizeable chunk of sales taken away because of the cheaper Pontiac.

The Pontiac may not have "all that" in the "world class" market but it's not to bad, and it will be on my list of cars to test drive.

I would like to see a GT model with modern looking side pipes (not a 60's look) a small turbo with wider GT type tires and a better all around suspension package. did I spell suspension right? it's 3am!

I think Dodge did great with the Yellow paint and black accents on the hemi trucks, I would like to see this on the car. what do you think?
