new 17" wheels for 2000 accord sedan v6 ex ???

I am thinking about buy new 17" wheels for my 2000 accord 4-door V6 EX. My current wheels are 15" and tires are 205/65/15.
I want to get factory wheels which are EM-9RR or S6-SE1 alloy wheel for using honda accord 2003. You can find them on honda website.
Is it possible to install without any adjustment? I don't want to lower my car nor modify it. Some said it is okay, other said it can't. What is correct? I'm confused
Also what are good tires for 17" wheels? Is it 215/50/17 ok?
thank you.

Yeah should be no problem, but IMO I would get some nice wheels like some ADR or something like that with some Yokohama Parada 205/40R/17 tires...thats just me, stocks look gay unless they are SI or GSR

Check Prices

Before you buy those off Honda, make sure you check your options thoroughly. I can see official Honda wheels being an outrageous price. I'm sure you can find wheels in the style you like elsewhere, so just make sure you're not getting ripped off.

And to answer the actual question...Those wheels will fit fine. My friend has 17's on his 97' and it is very lowered, (2.25in). No problems what so ever...Accept for the ticket he just got for "turning to fast", so the cop said. lol.

Suggestion...I know you stated that you don't want to lower your car, but I'm not to sure about that. If you don't want to because of the money, then well...save up. H&R makes a great spring for your kind of purpose. I think they are called "OE Sport Springs". They only lower your car like .75in in the front, and .5in in the back. This will restore the factory ride height after you increase the wheel diameter.

Good luck!

please, recommend...

thanks guys.

What kind of wheels are you recommending instead of factory wheels?
Please, select a couple of wheels for me. I do not know anything except honda factory wheels.

And If I change to 17" wheels without lowering, do you mean that actually my car is going to be higher?

thanks again.

for aftermarker wheels check out tirerack.com and whalentire.com and wheelmax.com . They seem to be the best price wise, and you can get wheel/tire packages.

Also, check out http://www.tires.com

Yeah about the raising of the car. If you increase the wheel diameter by 2", (from 15 to 17), well that automatically raises your car 1". But due to the increase wheel size, you'll most likely go with a 50 series tire(height). The origonal tires are something like 60 series. So this lowers the car slightly, but overall it'll most likely be about .75 inches higher than stock. And Accords are offroad units to begin with (sarcasm) so you'll most likely want to drop it at least a little bit so it looks right.

My 2 favorite wheel manufacturers are Konig, and Enkei. Both offer very eye catching styles and at a decent price. Just off the top of my head I'd say your probably looking at around $1050 to $1200 for wheels and tires.

yeah Konig and Enkei are great, they're my 2 favorite also. But you can get a wheel and tire package from whalentire for $850 and that's with Z rated tires...

actually you would probably get smaller tires than 50 series. if you get 17's the tire size thats most usually paired with them is 205 or 215/40, which you would actually stay stock size overall. so you wouldnt raise your car at all.

Yeah that sounds right now that I think about it. When my friend ordered his, they assumed that his car was stock and they suggested 205/50-17. So 215/40's would be about the same deal.
