Question automatic locks?

I was wondering if there was any way that you could make it so that when you put the car in gear it wouldn't automatically lock the doors. I don't know about you but this has become very annoying.

I'm not sure how to get rid of that. It don't really bother me. I would leave it alone. At least its safe. BTW '00' GTP, were did you buy your speed chip and what is the name brand of it?

The owner's manual for your car will tell you how to disable that. It's something like, you have to put the key in the ignition with the car off, and turn it to the lock position, and then do something like turn the headlights on, then off three times, or hit the brake pedal three times, or something like that. There should be a section in the owner's manual called "Personalizing Your Vehicle". You can also manipulate plenty of other things like how long the dome and door lights stay on, and when they come on, and if the doors lock when you shift out of Park, and if the doors unlock when you turn the car off. You can also set the remote locking to unlock all doors when hitting it once, et al. Check it out.

Well, I did it to mine, and most of the settings out of the factory were to my liking, except for the 5 second lock thing (when you press the lock on the door when the door is open, it chimes, and then will lock 5 seconds after closing the door). So I only changed that, and with the instructions in front of me, it only took 2 minutes to do and test.

I had glanced through it before, and never saw that section. and it was like Options for Lighting and Locking. or something like that. I just looked up auto locks.
