? about sr20 swap

I really dont know for sure but maybe you guys could help me, somewhere I heard that the sr20det from a silvia s14 will fit straight in on the 89 240's. I'm just curious to find out and if its true them im probably just going to go ahead a get a s14 sr20det. thanks

go read the f.a.q. they have links to sites and alot of information or jus do a search.. yes it will fit into a 89 chassie. but the 89 motor is a sohc and the sr20det is a dohc the wireing sys is different, also the sr20det is direct ignition and your current motor is coil and wires.. so the wireing diagrams will have to be modifyed, the motor does fit but you have to modify your wireing sys. also jus get a s-13 red or black top same motor bascally jus a different turbo and i think the injector size is different, if you are going to tune the motor it doesnt matter jus get the cheaper 1.
