Dumbass's in Honda

I get really pissed of when u go into a dealership and they treat u like u dont know shit,

I just went into the dealership to ask for a hazard switch for a 1990 honda civic 4th generation and they said they needed the chassis number and the paint code, which i dont have either of because i am getting it for someone off the forum,

then I ask if they still do the 1.6-i 16v stickers for the back and the 16 valve ones too, they say YES but again they need a paint code and chassis number,

I said to the bloke i know wot switch it is but he said I would Have to bring in the number

and wtf has the paint code got to do with it??

and as for the stickers they dont come in different colours on the cars so wtf is he playing at ???

PISSES ME OFF

just had to vent

Maybe he meant the color code of the interior, so he knows what color interior piece to sell you .

You definately ran into a moron of the highest order. Go to another dealership and get what you need.

I have a way around that, I just ask em to show me the screen and I point at the part i need, and say I want this and i want it in xxxxx colour. (if it applies). done deal.

don't be afraid to ask to deal with someone else. most people in parts department at dealerships don't have 2 sweet clues. (in most cases)

if you dont get the service you want go to an other dealership.

speaking of stupid people, i went in there looking for the head bolts for my b16, i told the guy that the 99-00 si used the same engine so just give me those.

he told me 1. that the si was only made in 2003
2. that in 99-00 the only engine size was 1.5l and it was sohc.

i told him he was an idiot an i walked out.

 People hating on dealerships. I know from expericance that the parts guys are about 90% morons. Tell them one part and you end with an entirely different piece. You have to talk to them slow almost like you would a child. That always works

I have just gone into honda AGAIN, with another VIN from a 90-91 civic,

and they said that the VIN does not exist and this time the bloke said that ALL honda civics have the hazards on the steering column

he said to go to the junkyard, but I need a Brand new one
