Things to look out for when buying a 4G?

If I were to look at a Civic hatchback, what should I take note of? Are there any problems with the 4th gen's that are really hard to fix and if so what I should be looking out for? I have my car up for sale and i'll be looking around for some 4th gen's and I'd like to know some common problems and what to look out for before hand. Thanks.

I'd look out for the usual rust spots and dings. And it doesn't hurt to ask to look at the engine and drive it around the block a few times. Just be sure to look out for anything leaks oil or anything like that

look at the rear fender, right between the bumper and main body, usually theres rust there...also check for clutch (how far down to engage), axles (knocking noise when turning), any grinds in the tranny, check vin for clean title, physically look at the cars interior exterior...any leaks? or running fluids on brake lines? pull each spark plug and see if the rpms drop...um yea other than that look for any signs of rust, usally on the rear and front fenders

Check to make sure the A/C works well.
Most people will turn the heat on in the winter, but since it's cold already, forget to check the A/C.
If you come across an SI make sure the sunroof doesn't leak (sometimes its an easy fix, sometimes its not).

And everyone elses ideas I agree with
There's one here in Atlanta someone is selling for $625 with a broken head. LOL

check the rear strut towers, some times they will rust through, then you have a real big problem!! the whole rear end will just drop to the ground.

make sure that the key goes in and out easily, because with older cars u have to think of how many times a key has gone in and out of the ignition. Mine is a pain in the ass to get out, but good luck.
