Okay, How the hell do you change the number 6 spark plug? up against the firewall and covered by the intake?

With a lot of patience, a couple swivels, and some padding? Somewhere there are some instructions. OffroadX will probably catch this thread and give a link. I know he knows. I couldn't even get up over the top of that part of the engine to reach so I ended up having the dealer do it. Quite honestly, I felt I could probably get the old one out but wasn't confident in my ability to get it back in. Not without it collecting some dirt to drop in there first and possibly crossthreading it. I think I'll just let the dealer do all of them next time!

Hell, all 3 on that bank are tricky, but the rear is by far the worst. I'm not looking forward to it.

Thumbs up

I installed those new BOSCH plus 4 plugs. so I hope I dont need to change them as often. And yes I do notice a difference in pickup.

I just did mine last weekend. I found that if I pulled three 10mm bolts that hold the brake lines against the back wall out it gave me a little more room. The socket I connected to a 4 in extention then a universal joint then a 6 inch extention. I came out pretty easily. Putting it back in was a little harder. Insert the plug into the socket and fish around a little untill you find the right spot. Patience goes a long ways here. It took about 20 minutes to do just this one plug. And I found it's most comfortable to just lay across the engine to get to it rather than trying to strecth all the way to the back of the engine.

Best way is to get some fuel line hose or such and stick the plug into the end, then use it to feed the plug down to the hole and turn the hose to get it started. Much less chance of crossing the threads that way.
