They are both ugly IMO, but the Protege is the better looking of the two.

Id definatly go with the Protege 5, it looks a little better (in my opinion) and from what i have seen it performs better. I have drivin a Pontiac Vibe which is basically the same thing as a matrix, just a different body, and it really didnt impress me all that much.

i voted protege 5 b/c of the handling the car has...

it is down on power though... and i remember scc had a turbo matrix they were working on, so there's potential there...

it's tough... if you plan on driving it stock, go with the protege...

Isn't the Protoge supposed to be coming out with some bad assed aftermarket stuff from Mazda? I mean the in house brand.. I forgot the name.. Beat? or something?

the mazda speed 6 is not a protege.

it's a mazda 6. tuned by mazdaspeed.

the turbo protege is the mazdaspeed protege as far as i've seen.
