Simply because there is now less surface area on the rotors, but the low pressure makes it easy to modulate, which may make the brakes feel stiffer, but actually doesn't reduce stopping distance.:flash:

Actually, I had already decided on upgrading my braking system a while ago, but haven't gotten around to it yet (other car projects). But I had planned on an upgraded master cyl., racing fluids, booster and stainless lines, but would I need to buy 4-piston calipers, or would an AEM big brake upgrade (stock calipers) work for all 4 corners effectively? And would the possible $1500 for everything be effective enough on the street to be worth the price tag? Peace

sup dezoris,

what is your feeling on KVR Peformance Python calipers. Low budget yes, but $599 as opposed to $1100 for Brembos seems attractive. I would be using them with AEM slotted/cd rotors I've had for about a year and some
