Actually, the shaker hoodscoop was an option on the Boss 302 (and several aftermarket companies have resin ones). What's in the box is prototypical of the '70 Boss 302 and you can build a very accurate replica. Also there were several color options inc. Grabber orange/yellow/blue, Gulfstream Aqua (white stripes), Calypso Coral and some kinda green (also with white stripes) ;-)>
hth,
Bill
Really? I thought the shaker hood was standard. I haven't seen a 70 boss 302 without one! Well, the shaker scoop does look best IMO, and I think there's another revell kit I'd be able to yoink one off of. And yes, it did come in a variety of colors, more than you mentioned (the green is a grabber green btw). Personally, I think that grabber orange is the nicest, calypso coral and candyapple red are also nice, but the majority of ones you see out there are competition yellow.

Oh yah, i think revell also got the steering wheel wrong, not a big deal though

70 boss 302 in grabber orange

Grabber Green..well duh, Bill...LOL! According to Boss302.com, the 70 was offered with "special paint color"..so anything ford had mixed up would be OK for an OEM build (I learn something new everyday!)
hth,
Bill
