my lights dim out wqhen my bass hits peak

alternator isnt his prob. My friend has e 12" w7's and 2 500/1 jl amps and 2 300/2 jl amps running on 1/0 guage wire, stock battery, and stock alternator. He has 2 1 farad caps and his lights do not dim. Plus he runs a alpine headunit and a alpine indash dvd player. he also has 2 alarms, 2 underbody neon kits, and other lightup neons in his car. Try getting a cap it should fix it.

sometimes a cap works ....... sometimes it doesn't.

JL amps are rather efficient. it doesn't pull as much current as other amps out there. what car does your friend have? those W7's are nice subs.
