Do any members build Provence Moulage kits

Hi there,

I was just wondering if anyone on this board regularly builds the 1/43 scale Resin kits from Provence Moulage. I am just about to start building the kit shown below, it is of the MG ZR EX258 as driven in the 2002 Monte Carlo Rally by Gwyndaf Evans. Looking forward to the build of this my first PM kit. Does anyone have any tips they can share?.
I am building this and some other PM kits to display in my Model Shop which opens in February 2003 here in the UK.

a little tip here.
when attach clear parts like turn lights or head lamps to the body, I use clear paint. I don't use glue, because it dissolve the paint and collect moisture the clear parts.

I've built a few PM kits, I very much enjoy building them. If any one has any good tips for cutting the vac-formed windows I'd love to know, it the one area I tend to fall down on. Otherwise I think they are good, easy kits to build.

Keep us updated, there don't seem to many other resin modellers on this board!

I have built a few PM kits and their pretty good kits. One thing is their panel lines are a little shallow so I usually scribe them deeper. Remember that resin sands easier than plastic so be careful. I reccomend airbrushing ove r cans if possible especially the primer because it sticks and lays down better with airbrushing because of better atomization of the paint. If you have phototched brass parts that need joined together I prefer soldering when possible for more strength. Here is Bentley by PM that I built.

Many thanks for your replies. I love the Bentley kit, but my supplier was out of stock of it when I went to buy it. I was also after the Morgan Aero 8 kit, but I ended up coming back with the MG Rally Car and the MG Lola EX257 Le Mans 2002 which I will build after the rally car.

I built the '97 version, but it got trashed when I moved. The kit was quite simple, resin body and one peice chasis/interior. Vac-formed glass some PE bits, turned metal wheels with resin inserts and a sprue of plastic bits to make the roll-cage (it's a generic sprue, you need to design and cut the cage yourself). One sheet of very good decals. Instructions are just photos of the painted model and a few words in english/french. Its pretty straight forward as the kit is so simple. I think the key to it is good paint/decalling and a cleen build.

I love the Bentley kit, but my supplier was out of stock of it when I went to buy it.

I planning on doing the PM Bently some time soon. Just out of interest (as I'm in the UK as well), who do you get your 1/43s from?
