Well, take a look at this!

While I don' know about the differences under the hood and all, but what I can see is a modified airbox on the roof and modified, yet again, hood vents. And of course the rear wing that Ford seems to just pick up after it had fallen from some other rally car!

Hm, looks promising, hopefully the ford engineers won't put all the pieces of left-overs they find on the road on their new car...

'Ford Rallye Sport team director Malcolm Wilson was delighted with the outcome of the test. "The most encouraging aspect is that even though it is very early in the car's development programme, the 2003 car was faster in back-to-back tests than the 2002 car.
The most noticeable difference came on high-speed sections and data from last season showed that's the area where we need to make the biggest improvement. '

Is that the reason why they put a very ugly wing on the car?

That is an exact copy of the Pug 2001 rear wing

Anyway, yes, those kind of "huge" rear wings will generated more downforce and less drag, hence also the modified front wing. This should make the car more efficient at high-speed and apparently they are about to achieve that.

If they can materialize these promising early signs into pace on ss's - Pug might have found itself another challenger - which is good for the sport!!!

And the engineers at Peugeot are still wondering what happened to their last consignment of C/F rear wings from the manufacturer

Maybe the car will look better in WRC livery, right now I think it looks ugly.....so it better be functional.....
