2000 chevy silverado 4.8 vortec

Hello I have a 2000 Chevy 4.8, one day I lost tachometer and pegged out fuel guage along with harsh shifting, it will not run with egr plugged in, things I’ve changed… new egr valve, new battery, replaced all grounds, new fuel filter, Maf, crankshaft sensor, it will start and idle only with egr valve disconnected.

It sounds as if the PCM is commanding the EGR open. If two different EGR valves do that, it is probably not the valve at fault.

Have you put a scan tool on it? What DTCs are showing? We need to start there.
