Cabo, if you dont understand what "grounding" a wire is, you should not be trying to install a mobile video unit. Shell out $50 an have a local shop put it in for you.

thats pretty simple wiring instructions, if you cant understand what was explained, take your car to an installer and have them do it...otherwise you may damage the screen, deck, car or all of the above...

The e-brake thing looks like its a safety precaution so that youre not watching it while driving. Of course there must be another way to wire it, but if youre not sure how to wire electrical stuff you shouldnt mess around. You dont want to burn out your ecu or worse, maybe if you know a friend or something.

a

I've installed a dozen indash screen systems in cars and here is how to avoid that problem. The way your SUPPOSED to hook it up is to your e-brake. That way it ONLY displays something when it is getting a signal from your ebrake....your car does the same thing, it lights up on your gauges if your ebrake is pulled. so since it needs a signal to operate, just tap that "e-brake" wire into a constant or accesory wire like your cig lighter. It's like a remote wire for your amp pretty much....same concept. Hope that helps.
