In Korea, of all places. Search on "Academy European Classic Car". Seriously- it is a rerelease of the Italeri's kit for the Korean market- with no mention of it being a Ferrari. Only thing missing is Ferrari decals. I got mine from Amazon a few months ago.

You are speaking of the repurposed for Korea only California Spyder.


The 250 SWB is a 2 seat coupe.

It was announced as a 1st quarter release during the last quarter of '15. Now due to licensing it's not going to happen. The other models announced are much further out in 2016.

Bad news I got at January 5th 2016 directly from Revell:
The reissue of 250 SWB has been cancelled.
But Revell is going to negotiate wird the licensor about that reissue - whatever that means.

I'm not a fan of the Esci kit.
The body is off.
Having both I can say Italeris kit is definitely better.

I am guessing Revell US has not got the memo ( just in case it gets updated, as of 1-17-16, the listing says to be release late January)

Revell of Germany never mentioned this kit on their Homepage.
They only announced it once in a newsletter published Oktober 6th
2015.
Upon request I was told delivery would start in november.
But now they apparently stopped the project.

Is it possible they release it in US only?
If it is a license issue it could be related to EU only.

I have a modest concern on the AMG GT and McLaren. Skill level is 3. Having recently heard that RoG is enamored with Revell USA's easy build kits, re 2013 Camaro or C7 Corvette, I am thinking these cars may be of the same ilk.

The reason I only have a modest concern is most modern sports cars have a lot of aerodynamic shielding covering a lot of the chassis area anyways.

It will be interesting to see what is shown at the Nuremberg Toy Fair.

I updated my post above. I have confirmation from Ed Sexton that licensing changes killed the 250 SWB at least for now.

Dear MPWR,
I'm sorry to hear that you are upset at me over the non release of the 250 SWB. I have tried to explain to Sergio that we need the money for our development and my pension and we should allow this model to be made.
However, if you are desperate, there is an ESCI swb racing on UK Ebay...http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Esci-1-24-...4AAOSwUV9Wo3a0, I did this model myself a few years ago and even after a few pints, it looked OK to me.
Hope this may be of help and you can reinstate your support for Seb and me, well me anyway, he doesn't stand a chance against me this season.
