Swap for the 3800SC. Shop around, buy the engine and ECU's for about $1500, and swap it yourself. You can't beat nearly horsepower in the high 200's for that cheap, especially a car like that. OR, you can do what this guy said and bolt a super onto a 3.4L, which would cost more, and give less power.... but hey it's really personal preference, right?

looking for a blown swap? try the new 4.4 cad v8. it'll bolt in, more or less, as chevy engineers demo; if you can drop the 3.1, you should be able to stuff in the 4.4 without major surgery. or you could try a 305, 350, or 5.3. i'd mate it to a th-125c or cad fwd tranny.

better stick to that math major buddy.... you can spit out math numbers and equations till you r blue in the face, they still aren't the same engine. the blocks i believe are quite similar and will bolt up to the same tranny's, but are quite different in many other aspects.

So i have a 1996 chevy bertta and. Can buy a 3800 supercharged motor for 600 with the tranny. So to be clear lol will it fit?
