Re: Bmw m3 e30

A little update after a long break. I created a CAD model of the wheel disc by myself and then printed on the 3D printer.

Not the best quality that seen on a macro, because of print resolution, but it will be smoothed after a primer.

Dry fitting.

Re: Bmw m3 e30

I remember, Paolo. They won't be printed once again. I intend to copy them in resin.

Re: Bmw m3 e30

I've cut the rear shelf to join it to the interior in future and started to work with front end.

For some reason it was cut for 5 pieces.

The line between the front fenders and bumper was inclined forward. But in a real car it inclines backward. To correct it the pieces of plastic were glued to the fenders.

The front grille from Studio27 has wrong shape on its sides.

The shape was corrected and the grille was matched to the body.

The front fenders have corrected.

Another one little update. The front crossbar was matched and glued.

The front grille has almost finished.

Re: Bmw m3 e30

Some additional surgery on the rear end of the roof and on the C-pillar. Still needs to make some little corrections on the A-pillar, but nevertheless overall shape of the roof is close to the original.

Re: Bmw m3 e30

I have made a mistake on the early stage of this project - the wrong angle of inclination of the A-pillar.

So, it's time for correction.

The A-pillar is in place and have a correct angle of inclination. The roof was shortened on 2,2 mm.

Me too. Not prepared to invest time in such conversion myself. Great result as usual.

Re: Bmw m3 e30

Thank you guys! Romik's model is not correct to my mind, but it will contain an engine parts. I do hope, I will make limited edition of the body. Will see.
