Re: Tamiya Ferrari F40 Competizione
I appreciate everyone's comments. This has been a huge learning experience. I have overlooked many things but I will definitely build another one sometime.
The exhaust was done as follows: sanding smooth, primer with a final wet coat, alclad gloss black base, alclad chrome, light mists of alclad smoke and burnt iron, then Tamiya weathering powders burnished out with a tissue I have an idea for the next project. I have some kosutte ginsan and it is somewhat transparent. I want to paint the exhaust the colors I need then run the ginsan. It should show the color shades through the shine. I have always wanted to get that realistic burnt chrome look |
