Looking at a 2000 Celica

I have a cousin who owns a 2000 Celica Gt that he is selling. I am absolutely in love with this car, It is in great shape brought upstate 4 years ago from Florida, I know he has taken good care of it, but, my concerns are this; Hes asking close to $3,000 I can probably get it for $2,600. It has 200,000 Mostly Highway miles, and I have a 6Yo daughter and not quite sure of the passenger space. Can anyone help me make up my mind. It is either this or I want a Camry. I am 42yo and want this Damn car

Re: Looking at a 2000 Celica

Find out when is the last time (in miles) he changed the timing belt and if he changed the water pump along with it. That's a significant expense if you have to do that in the next few thousand miles.

The back seat will be adequate for your daughter, unless she is required to use a booster seat, in which case you will have to expend some energy in belting her in. I would go with the Camry, but I'm an old fart.
