Yep, it defenitely looks good!
Fortunately it has today the presentation livery. Fantastic. I bet the car will stay in UK in sure hands!

The only theory that makes any sense to me is that they prefer to showcase the driver lineup that piloted 24R. The first two names in the #42 car being hugely recognizable and respected in the world of racing and only the diehard fan is going to recall their finishing order from 1997.

24R = #42 = J.J.Lehto / N.Piquet / S.Soper

26R = #43 = E.Helary / P.Kox / R.Ravaglia

Re: Location of GTR's - Index

Shared on Twitter by the curator of the ROFGO Collection recently - 15R and 22R and some other decent stuff, in case there was any question.

I see a plate on 15R there. Did we know that?

I thought it was known it was going to be road converted, just not what the plate was going to be?

Re: Location of GTR's - Index

I thought that when it was sold that collection; it would be held on in racespecs, like the all other collection cars have. Interesting I must say!

This could be true and if so then I didn't recall.

I think converting for road use was smart. It is a reversible process as I understand and opens up interesting potential for the owner who has plenty of other race cars he can't drive to Le Mans if he wanted.

Re: Location of GTR's - Index

I am certain I read an article several years ago where 12R was actually road tested and it was on legal plates then and has been for some years with the same Registration. I am certain there are pictures of the Reg plate clearly shown when it was being shown by Lanzante.

carbuilder - that's all very nice, but the '96 Gulf GTR in the ROFGO collection is 15R.

Re: Location of GTR's - Index

This is I think the very first images of #16R being Road registered?
Just came in to my mind when talking about #12R...
http://www.whatonemillionbuys.com/wp...-rear-view.jpg

And Google image search gaved also this one, #21R or #23R?

Re: Location of GTR's - Index

That is an early photo of 16R, but taken when it was for sale around 2003, so not quite as early as when it was first road registered.

The second shot is 23R in the paddock at Mont Tremblant in modern times - 2010 I think.
