If there's any justice in the world, the Papaya GTR's will one day be returned to their racing liveries.

Great to see them out and about even this late into the year though.

Probably / hopefully yes, but not for #14R as long as Adrian Newey will own it.
I asked him at (both) Goodwood meetings about this, but he sad he keeps it orange.

Couple of shots of 24R at Goodwood in 2010 from a good friend of mine who was happy for me to share them.

Love the interior of the GTRs, central driving position is simply awesome.

Some reason at least I can't see the images.

Nice photos. I've been wondering where CLK LM #003 went after it was up for sale for a while.

Re: Location of GTR's - Index

It's a little storage place in France where the owner holds his cars. I believe Nicob and Phil have been by there. I saw a pic via FB the other day from the outside but I can't recall the photographer's page that shared it. It has a full glass front like a retail store would so anyone passing by can get a decent look inside.

Re: Location of GTR's - Index

Yes Patrick, Phil and I know this place well, it's in the Paris region, but it remains rather private... Unfortunately I can't say much more...
The CLK LM and the GT1 were recently acquired.

Re: Location of GTR's - Index

Thanks for sharing the link - it has never been posted.

The situation was known to a few of us but never widely discussed and is the explanation of why this car has been nearly invisible for so long. I was not aware the legal dispute had finally come to an end but I am thrilled to see that logic prevailed and the outcome favored Mr Smith.

That is good news especially after the efforts and expense that have gone into the restoration of the car over these past couple of years. My only (selfish) complaint is that I wish the report included more photos.

EDIT: One more thing the full text of the judgement serves to prove is the notion that the buying and selling of these cars can be extremely complicated. "Yowsa!" on this one.

Re: Location of GTR's - Index

Finally, someone has been allowed to show #19R without its stickers - it looked mean just in the black

Yep. Looks just like the black 1/18 UT F1 Longtail street.

Btw, I recall this question being brought up after I decided to look up the history on the other Fina F1 GTR longtails today given the recent sale of 21R.

Why does 26R wear 24R's 1997 24 Hour livery when 26R finished 3rd and 24R DNF? Can't for the life of me think of why, but I remember Erik making note of that a while back. Can't be just because they prefer the #42 over #43...
