Are you trying to rewrite history by saying its another colour, or simply trying to fix the picture?

The colour was all wrong going by other pictures of the same gathering, and Erik had promised to sort it out when the picture first surfaced.

Don't bother Erik at the moment though, he is taking picures of his Limited Edition Driving Ambition for us all

Re: Mclaren F1 - The Gatherings

Continuing the theme of classic photos on Christmas day, here's a set from the Goodwood display in 1995 including one of the better shots of #017 that we've seen and a photo of #01R on its run up Lord March's driveway.

...but I think the best photo from the set is actually this one here. I have not seen a sign like this with any of the early McLaren displays ever before. I find it very interesting to see they were still projecting 300 units in mid-1995.

These images are all credit Bill Swift and shared with me by his son Andrew. Each is clickable for hires.

Re: Mclaren F1 - The Gatherings

Clearly tak43 is a race car man.

I don't think I've ever noticed that little tacked on fender flare on #06R. What an interesting little detail. I'm going to blame my oversight on small grainy pictures and the car being filthy dirty for most of the race.

tak43 - hurry up and make another post so we can all "Thank" you.

There was no real info on these shots, but #01R is dirty and the setting looks kind of the same [it may have been the Paddock area back in 1995 at the FoS before the cars went up the Hill....]

You did good Terry - no reason to complain here, although a nice set of photos of #017 would sure be good to see today since it is gone.

TAK43: you have a superb historic F1 image collection. Some times you do things and get lucky like you, shoted the racecars and now really see the historic value of the shots, so thank you very much sharing these, allow to Greg upload these to everyone here. Appreciate.!
