No 4 wheel drive 1999 rodeo
Lots of snow last night, so I pushed the button to engage 4 wheel. I think the indicator flashed for just a second, but it never engaged. At the same time I lost both the rear wiper and the intermittent setting on the front wipers. Any thoughts on where to start looking?

Re: No 4 wheel drive 1999 rodeo
your shift on the fly actuator needs to be cleaned or replaced. 4x4's need to have the 4x4 switched on once a month and driven a couple of blocks to keep everything happy ... if you go months or years at a time of not using the 4x4 parts, things seize up ...

Thanks, Ill look into that.
Further: The power windows apparently stopped at the same time (breaker is not tripped). And the 4 wheel indicator does not light up when the key is turned on. |

It was a fuse. It also took out the cruise control. The common fuse for these items is labeled "Elec. Ig."

Re: No 4 wheel drive 1999 rodeo
It's blowing the fuse every time I push the 4 Wheel Drive button. The vacuum never changes at the actuator. Suggestions for diagnosis?
