Hey guys, i'm thinking of getting a 95' 328i but the mileage is 197,000 kms. Is this too risky?

Re: BMW 1995 328i
1) How much is it?
2) Is there any maintenance records? 3) What's the condition of ext/int? 4) Is there any pending codes on the OBD II system? 5) Did they reset codes, and the drive cycle ''Inc'' ? Know what the cars worth, see NADA & KBB, it might be a good deal for a DIY, but parts + service canbe expensive for any car these days. |

G'day, welcome to AF. For a car that old, that seems VERY expensive. Here in NZ, one with about 100,000ks is worth NZ$5-6,000. That's quite a few less AUD. They are very solid and reliable cars, but 200,000ks is pushing it. At some point in the near future it is going to need some big dollars spent on it, either engine, or gearbox, or both.
