Need Help with New Distributor
We have a 1995 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0.
It didn't start on Friday. Actually it cranks, but then cuts right off. My husband replaced the distributor cap, rotor, cleaned the spark plugs (wires are newish). Still wouldn't start. He went and bought a new distributor and replaced that. It still wouldn't start. He then read the posts on here and replaced the crankshaft sensor, and fuel relay switch and it starts now, but is running so rough. The distributor is non-adjusting, but he did everything following directions. Any ideas? He cant get to work tomorrow without fixing it, so we are pretty desperate for some answers! Thanks so much in advance! |

Re: Need Help with New Distributor
He has also replaced the coil. Eventually got it started and it ran well for a week and then died as he was pulling in a parking spot at work. Finally had it towed and it turns out the distributor and coil were faulty. Replaced each and it runs like a baby (except for an ignition issue, which is next on the list!)
Thanks for your help! |
