need help with new motor that was put in?

ok i drive a 95 eclipse gs-t and my motor blew so i ordered a motor from osaka motorsports and it arrived. they took my old motor and put the new one in and my mechanic said that none of the hoses on the new motor would adapt to my car so he had to take all the parts from the old motor and put them on the new motor for it to run. the new injectors and fuel rail did not match. the turbo on the new motor did not adapt so the old one had to be put on. the manifold was different and even the alternator. so basically all i have new under the hood is the block and internals. can anyone answer as to why they are completely different motors if i requested a 95 gs-t motor. my mechanic is thinkin that its from a 97-99 4g63t motor. so car is running now but when i drive on it it sputters once the turbo is spooling and feels like it wants to bog out. the motor has 37k on it. my old turbo has 147k on it. is there a difference from a stock turbo on a 95 motor vs. a 97-99 motor.

It probly was a JDM motor. Thats why the intake manifold injectors and such would not work beacause you do not have a JDM ECU. The turbo is the part that does not really make sense.

it sounds like a boost leak make sure all your IC hoses are clamped tight.

if its a jdm motor, where can i find a jdm ecu. cause the car is sputtering bad. he check all the hoses for leaks and nothing found. so does anyone know why that turbo that was on the new motor wouldnt work with the setup. my mechanic said something about the hoses or piping on the new turbo didnt match any parts from the old motor.

you said your turbo has 147K on it right? well don't you think that it is time for a new turbo or at least a rebuild, actually i'm surprised to hear you got the stock turbo up to 147 unless it has been rebuilt, but it sounds like maybe your tubo is getting ready to kick the can. sorry man.

something i forgot the 95 and 97-98 turbos do differ, but not enough to make an extreme difference, it should only take buying new hosing and fitting it in.

Re: need help with new motor that was put in?

build the intake leak tester on vfaq.com and test the whole intake from the turbo on. it really sounds like a boost leak to me and if he had to hackjob adapters for the turbo then i would suspect that it leaks. how did he test it for leaks?

Re: need help with new motor that was put in?

um... i have to call him to see what and how he checked them. and he couldnt put the new turbo on so thats why the old 147k turbo is on there. i baby my ride only beat on when needed so the turbo really never got hammered to much. but if the new turbo would have worked it would be fine
