CV Boot???
Howdy all!Think I messed up the CV Boots, see attached. This is the case on both sides of the front end ![]() I think it was from driving on pavement in 4X4. I was in town, and spinning a turn, when I felt what I think was the front end binding. I noticed I was in 4 wheel, dumb mistake. I think this is what caused the problem. So, what do I do now??? I called a local mechanic i trust, and he said the whole CV Boot will need to be replaced. Is that true? What cost should I expect, or find to be unreasonable? Can I drive it 8 miles to that repair shop, or have it towed? Other alternative ideas? Bumbed for sure, but hope ya'll can help! I'm a

Yes. [edit: we are talking 'cv boot' here and not 'cv joint' right? ]
