Fuse VS Circuit Breaker '97 PA
Hi Members,
Can anyone answer this question...What is the difference between a fuse and a circuit breaker? I have located the circuit brkr for my drivers seat and was wondering if I could replace it with a 25A fuse? I don't want to just do it, as I am a little leary of electrical things and don't want to blow something else. I've lost all function of my driver's seat. It is stuck in the all-the-way back position. ![]() Any help would be appreciated. The part number to the circuit breaker is...12088575, 25A, 14.5V Thank you, Prof H |

Re: Fuse VS Circuit Breaker '97 PA
You could replace the circuit breaker with the same rated fuse, but if the circuit overloads again, it will blow the fuse & require replacement. Circuit breakers reset automatically once cooled down, but the circuit breaker will eventually have higher contact resistance than it had when new. This is especially true if the breaker has been tripped (by overcurrent) more than a few times. Only you, can decided what you want to do.
