Re: Revell bmw z8m csl

A small update on the front lights The lenses were scratch build from transparent sprue left over from the kit and than detailed with a thin stripe of chrome tape, similar to the original

i think it looks much better than how it came out of the box

Re: Revell bmw z8m csl

Itīs getting closer to completion since the last time i have been able to finish the interior, the underbody still needs some more work..

Original brake discs are going to be replaced with the ones from a Ferrari f430, which were additionally modified

The ugly stock seats were also replaced..

The flocking technique i normally use was not appropriate for this interior, so i used some flocking tape i had laying around. I tried to paint it with an airbrush but i achieved a better result by just finger painting it with acrylic black paint. It was cut once dried and put in place..

I also filled and redesigned the area where the folded soft top used to be

Coming along nicely! That's a very interesting color you've chosen. Looks great on that car, especially with the carbon fiber pieces

Re: Revell bmw z8m csl

So, i have been working for the last few days on this car and if everything goes well, i should be able to finish it in about a week or so I still need to fabricate two custom exhaust tips and mirrors and from there on itīs more or less just painting, detailing and of course final assembly.. This is some progress since the last update
The kidneys were additionally modified from the last time as i was not happy with the look

I had to fill the emptiness in the engine bay which was visible through all the holes in the front with something, so i made a radiator

For the rear lights you get decals which i didnīt liked so i rather painted them on myself and added a chrome strip(the angle is strange but they look good, much better than the decal)

I painted the diffuser and the bottom of the front bumper black

Some of the modified suspension parts that wait to be painted

Oh, and i also finished the rims and this is how they look on the car
