Heater not heating right/2000 Buick Park Ave.

Since I can't seem to get my defrost working now, I thought I would ask about my heater. I noticed "happydog" said he had problems with his heater on his 97 Buick Lasabre and had posted pictures, but I ran a search and could not find it. Wonder if someone can point me in the right direction. The heater will heat some, but is not putting out much at all. At one point, it was heating on the passenger side and blowing out cold air on the drivers side. I checked it a couple days ago, and it was barely heating at all on either side. I turned the thermostat up to about 80 and felt a slight change but not much. I thought about the burnt resister happydog talked about and it got me concerned. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Steve

Are you talking about the front, or rear defrost?

Rear defrost. I hadn't ordered the module yet. Trying to make my mind up what to do about the connectors, which to use. Now I got diverted to my heater. Somethings obviously wrong with it. Not blowing out hot air good enough. Thanks

I assume you have checked the coolant level, if so, what is the engine temp when fully warmed up?

When engine is hot, feel both heater core hoses....are both hot, or is one noticeably cooler than the other?

What kind of heat are you getting when you turn it all the way to 90? Also, take it out of "dual" mode....
