So I thought since John K was back at the helm, I'd give it a whirl on Spike TV, er excuse me, TheNewTNN (Thanks Spike Lee, your engorged ego is showing).

I was disappointed in the quality of the show, the voices seemed to be less than accurate from the original, esp Stimpy (Im sure it was the lack of billy west on this)... but it just seemed to be less of the comic formula that made the original so good... and more 'gross out' than anything.

If this is supposed to be representative of what "guys" like, then maybe I am not a guy. Because I didn't think it was funny.

The thing is that Ren and Stimpy were always gay lovers.
Ever since the Nickelodeon days.
Ren would rather have a human woman, but since he can't, Stimpy's easy.
Stimpy's madly in love with Ren.

And I have to disagree on the new episodes.
I like them, but that's just me.
Everybody has the right to an opinion.

For those of you who do like the show, the new episodes are returning on August 20th.
For those of you who miss the "aurua" of the original series (that aired on Nickelodeon), the next three episodes are more in tune with the original series, in tone, according to people who have seen them.

yep it was the worst most disgusting Ren and Stimpy I have ever seen, it got even worse after they started living in the spittoon and eating what people spit in it. I have the first 3 years of episodes I bought on dvd and when the original guys split up and gave it to someone else to run he was not doing this characters any favors. I hope he got alot of money for it because I couldnt see letting someone do something like that to something I put my heart and soul into. Well it turns out the original creator made the Adult themed ones and made Ren and Stimpy Gay. I am never watching anything Ren and Stimpy again unless its from their first 3 years. Guy must be really sick to do something like this or just pissed off at the world in general.
