Being from an inner city area in toronto. I've come across knowledge of hot woiring and stealing cars.
THough i haven't done it myself, since i can't really even drive yet. Well leagaly. yeah anyways, the hardest part of stealing a car, is not etting the ngine going, (try going underneath your own steering wheel and touching some wires here and there, and you will quite easily get the engine running) the hardest part of stealing a car is getting in without breaking a window, while some theives are that aggressive and will simply smash in a window, others are classy and take their time to pick the lock. Well here where i live, (scarborough, comparable to The Bronx of New York) People most often will get into a car by breaking the (i have no idea of the technical term come to think of it) handle and lock of the door. Just keep on tugging at the handle very hard and hope it'll give enventualy. With a lot of newer cars 96' and later typically, it is somewhat more difficult to do this, also it is harder to do with american built cars. Yeah so just a thought |

You may have noticed that every car on that list is old enough, or cheap enough, that it didn't come with a stock alarm system or a key transponder system. I believe that also has a lot to do with thefts. The Nissan Maxima's theft rate dropped by 1/7 when they started installing the key transponder system standard. (For those not familiar with the system, if you do not have the correct computer chip embedded in your key, the engine will turn over but will not run as the fuel is cut off. )
After locking my keys in my car with the car running (long story ) I had the sheriff try to break in and the locksmith try. The sheriff spent an hour and couldn't get the door unlocked. The locksmith tried two tools unsuccessfully and got it open with the third, after a good 45 minutes or so. The sheriff remarked that my car would be difficult to steal - at least, that is assuming the theif wasn't adverse to replacing a window. However if he were to break out the window (assuming I hadn't left the keys in the ignition) the alarm would go off and alert people to the theft.

There are almost 70% of diesels sold every year in Europe... I don't really like, I prefer the classic engines, but I must conceed that the last diesels common rails, etc. are very good with good performances. Even Jaguar starts to sell diesel on his X and S Type.
There are 7, A8, S, diesels... And diesel is less taxed than gas here : for one liter : 1€ for the Super 95 and 0,75 for the diesel ! even if it's more expensive to buy a diesel than a gas car. No need to say that diesels sold very well on the second hand market ! Though, Non-diesel cars sold less good so are less expensive on this market !!

Re: Most Stolen Cars
No. Since you spammed 2 locksmith sites on your first post here, I guess your question is redundant.
