k guys here is my situation. a good friend of my dads has a dodge stealth r/t tt at his lot for 3k. he baught it at an auction and im pretty shure it was stolen due to the lack of an igniton and radio. its not in such good condition with differnt color body pannals, but would it be worth buying it or am i just getting into trouble due to repair costs?

3k is certainly a low price, but you are asking for trouble. You'd probably be better off finding one in so-so condition and getting that for a bit more money. Keep in mind repairs (especially for this car) add up so that 3k will turn into 5k quite quickly. Check the VIN and see its history also.

Yeah - check the VIN with Carfax and see what it returns. If all comes back clean and the drivetrain is in good shape, 3K may not be that bad of a deal.

Re: should i buy a stealth r/t tt that is most likely a stolen car for 3k?
i'll definetly run the vin#. i love the car and i have about 5k to spend + my dad owns a branch of NAPA so i dont have to worry so much about part costs. i know it is twin trubod, AWD and 4WS but all in all is it a solid car?

i found a 97 3k GT SL with 70k miles for $7k. i think i'm going to go for that. i wanted the AWD but whatever. how does the SL handle for a FWD car?
